Diff'rent

1920

No music is required except for a Victrola record heard at the beginning of act 2. It must be a lively tune, for Emma, the spinster protagonist, enamored of a worthless young neighbor, comments that she likes jazz tunes because they "put life and ginger in an old lady like me not like them slow, old-timey tunes." A recording of any fast jazz tune in an arrangement from 1920 will serve.
