How to Visit Tao House
 
Reservations: Eugene O'Neill's Tao House is only accessible via theNational Park Service van.  Reservations must be made in advance by phoning the National Park Service at (925) 838-0249.

Operating Hours: Wednesday through Sunday:  8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.
Directions: Directions will be provided when reservations are confirmed.  Reservations are required.
Transportation: The National Park Service provides a shuttle van for the short ride to the site.
Fees: There are no admission or transportation fees.
Exhibits: The Visitor Center at the site has rotating exhibits.
Programs: A variety of programs including plays, sea chanteys, staged readings, seminars and lectures are available throughout the year.  Phone the National Park Service at (925) 838-0249 or the O'Neill Foundation at (925) 820-1818 for information on programs.
Concessions: A small bookstore in the visitor center is provided by the Southwest Parks and Monuments Association.  A variety of books on Eugene O'Neill are available.
Accessibility: The restored Tao House courtyard, the first floor of the historic house and the visitor center are accessible to wheelchair users.  O'Neill's library on the second floor is accessible by stairway only.
Recommended Activities: Guided tour of house and courtyard, self-guided tour of grounds and Blemie's grave.
Tour Length: Allow two and one half-hours for touring the site.
